Terms & Conditions

  • Commercial equipment warranty is for one calendar year from date of installation. All problems with garage door must be reported immediately, use of the door must stop until a Top Notch Dock & Door tech arrives to repair. Any damage caused by continued use after the problem arises will not be covered. This warranty only covers damages caused by identifiable errors made during the original installation of new equipment.
  • Commercial Door Springs, Tracks, Hinges, Rollers, Bearings and operators must be maintained per manufacturer specifications for warranty to remain valid.
  • Correct operation of pre-existing operator systems is never covered under warranty. Any type of damage to the new commercial door system caused by a pre-existing opener system or opener system not installed by Top Notch Dock & Door is not covered under any circumstances. We will make an effort to attach & recalibrate pre-existing opener systems if in operable, safe condition. This is done as a courtesy and will not be a requirement for full payment of the job.
  • Any type of equipment damage caused by failure in the pre-existing structure is not covered under warranty.
  • Up to date Annual Inspections by Top Notch Dock & Door are required to extend our labor warranty past 1 year.
  • If a new commercial door is installed without a door operator and customer/contractor installs new operator, warranty is void.
  • JUMPED SPRING CABLES AND/OR BENT TOP PANELS ARE NOT COVERED UNDER WARRANTY UNLESS THERE IS AN IDENTIFIABLE ERROR FOUND WITH THE DOOR INSTALLATION AND ACKNOWLEDGED BY A TOP NOTCH DOCK & DOOR LLC EMPLOYEE.
  • Concrete foundation the door rests on should be level. If not, we may install the door using a temporary blocking under the lower side to level the door for proper operation. Do not remove the blocking until the concrete is repaired to level or warranty is void. Attaching anything to the bottom of the door voids all warranties.
  • Safety eye alignments are not covered by labor warranty under any circumstance. Any warranty calls for safety sensors issues will result in a service call fee.
  • Damages caused by electric power surges are not covered under warranty. Top Notch Dock & Door strongly recommends surge protection on all electrical equipment installed.
  • Annual Inspections must be performed by Top Notch Dock & Door to extend warranty past one year.
  • Only the parts installed by Top Notch Dock & Door Technicians are covered by any warranties.
  • All warranties listed on this sheet are void if work is performed by the customer or another company.
  • No warranty claims will be considered unless the original invoice amount is paid in full.
  • This invoice shall be governed by and enforced by the laws of the local government of which the services were provided.
  • All installations must occur during normal business hours (Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.). Installations occurring outside of normal business hours may incur additional charges. Customer must provide the appropriate equipment for use during any installation, if required, at no charge and must be responsible for unloading at the job site. If unloading is not available at the job site, Customer may incur additional charges. Top Notch Dock & Door is not responsible for the proper design and construction of the structures (e.g., walls, buildings, mounting methods, etc). Once given authorization to proceed, Customer must provide the following for installation: a) appropriate permanent power must be available to each of the automatic operators at the time of installation. Additional charges will be added in the event it is not. b) If the project contains multiple units, Customer must provide Top Notch Dock & Door with the ability to complete the work in a manner that allows for the continuous installation of multiple units without interruption, delay or return trips to the project site. If the work cannot be completed as set forth herein, Customer shall incur additional charges. c) Customer must properly prepare the area for the Product installation. If the installers arrive and find that the area is not properly prepared to accept the Product for installation, Customer shall incur additional charges for loss of time for the crew, travel, and staging. d) Customer must ensure that the area is accessible and free of other trades working above, below, or adjacent to schedule install or repair location. If the installers arrive and find that other trades might impede our ability to install in the area, Customer shall incur additional charges for loss of time for the crew, travel, and staging.
  • No back-charges will be accepted unless approved in writing by Top Notch Dock & Door.
  • All orders shall be subject to cancellation fees to cover any and all administrative fees and restocking fees. If materials have been ordered and Customer cancels the order, Customer shall pay for all materials released for fabrication in addition to all administrative and restocking fees.
  • Warranty does not apply when damage is caused by misuse, fire, flood, storms, vandalism, acts of God, or any other cause outside of Top Notch Dock & Door’s control. No allowance or credit will be made or given for any warranty material or labor repairs made by Top Notch Dock & Door. In the event (i) it is discovered that the Product has been tampered with or (ii) if work has been performed on the Product by any person or company other than Top Notch Dock & Door, all warranties and obligations of Top Notch Dock & Door set forth herein shall be void. Top Notch Dock & Door reserves the right to refuse to perform warranty service if Customer has not complied with all payment obligations under the Agreement.
  • Customer must immediately notify Top Notch Dock & Door of any damage to product or any failure to perform that is being considered for a warranty claim. Top Notch Dock & Door agrees to respond to warranty service request in a time frame not to exceed 72 hours, unless extreme circumstances out of Top Notch Dock & Door control prohibit (weather, natural disaster, jobsite availability, etc). Warranty Services shall only be performed during normal business hours, Monday – Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. In the event after-hours, weekend or holiday warranty service is required, over-time or double-time labor and zone charges will apply and will be invoiced at the then-current Top Notch Dock & Door labor rates.
